EXPERIENCE:  

2012 – present founder of Portfolio Oomph – getting you into art college.

2000 – 2009 Edinburgh College of Art, academic lecturer in printmaking, digital imaging and photography on the first year course and photography on second year B.A.(Hons) Drawing and Painting.

1999 – 2012 Dundee College, academic lecturer responsible for screen printing, digital imaging and drawing projects on HNC/D Graphics/Illustration courses.

2001 Digital artist leading a web design project in conjunction with WHALE and the Health Agency in Edinburgh.

2001 Digital artist working on one to one projects with ArtLink Edinburgh.

2001/2 Digital artist in school workshops at Stills Gallery, Edinburgh.

2000 Dundee Contemporary Arts Centre in collaboration with the McManus Galleries, photography workshops.

2000 Glasgow School of Art, visiting artist.

1999/2000 Visual Art Studios, Glasgow. Lecturer in photography & life drawing on folio preparation and special needs courses.

1999 Basil Paterson College, Edinburgh. Tutor for ‘A’ level & GCSE Art/Design.

1998 Designed, published and presented an artist’s book to the people of Tuzla, Bosnia. Supported by the Bosnian Canton Government with financial support from Scottish Arts Council and Martin Bell MP.

1998/7/6 Academic Lecturer at Chesterfield College working on the GNVQ Advanced Art and Design course teaching figure drawing and visual studies in 1998 and 1997, printmaking and visual communication projects in 1996.

1997 One of four selected artists from Britain to partake in the Artists Exchange 1997 at the invitation of the Artists Union of Tuzla, Bosnia sponsored by Balkan Arts Link.

1996 Academic Lecturer at Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art, Dundee working on the first year general course in printmaking. I was also involved in the assessments of the course.

1996 Travelled to Bosnia/Herzegovina with Artists for a United Bosnia to teach, exhibit and to give workshops for the people of Tuzla in a week long festival “Umjetnost Slobode” – Freedom Festival. Sponsored by the Laing Group.

1994/1995 Volunteer with the Action Group and ArtLink on two lens based projects, one at Gogarburn Hospital and one based in Leith. I was responsible for initiating projects, providing support also teaching black and white photography.

 

RESIDENCIES:

2002 – .Kunst AIR programme hosted by Federal Chancellery, Vienna, Austria.

2001 – IAAB (International Artist Exchange programme) in Basel, Switzerland.

1999/2000 – Visual Art Studios, Glasgow.
